However, during the heights of Despacito's fame in 2017 there were 19 mostly Spanish songs that were included in the top 100. And in 2020 the number was 41. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish-language version in 2017. In the year following, famous artists started working with reggaeton artists. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to produce MIA (2018) and Madonna was a part of Medellin along with Maluma (2019). The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became an issue for certain performers in the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a younger generation determined to maintain the style.
