
Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 in 1976. He was born in southern California. He attended Huntington Beach High School and was a top football and basketball player. Gonzalez was a star in these sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He led the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez tied the school record for bowl games with nine receptions. Gonzalez played with the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament within a couple of months. He then left school to enter the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th overall selection. Gonzalez was a part of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL year, he was able to catch not less than 59 of them per season.
